Mara Hoffman knows striking solid prints. Converting travel experiences into fashionable patterns guarantees fresh exotic, unique tribal designs. Bold colour-clashing patterns make for a fun, playful fashionable experience, perfect to show off your holiday tan.
New York fashion designer Mara Hoffman set up her namesake fashion label in 2000 after learning the tricks of the trade from some of the finest fashion schools – Parsons School of Design in New York and London’s Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design. Full of free spirit and creativity, Mara Hoffman clothing captures the designer’s passion for travel and colourful culture perfectly. Catapulting her into the next realm was Patricia Field, who bought and sold the designer’s first collection in her Manhattan store. The Mara Hoffman style is inspired by mythology and magic, as well as nature and cities. Transforming this inspiration into real-life creates Aztec and tribal-inspired digital prints in dresses, as well as kaleidoscopic patterns in skirts and ladies’ tops, forming the backbone of her women’s clothes. Watching her brand rise in popularity put the designer in the direction of swimwear, launching her first collection, Mara Hoffman Swimwear, in 2008 with playful bikinis, one-pieces and dashiki cover-ups. Casual maxi dresses and close-fitting mini dresses keep her collections versatile, and the reason why her fans adore the brand. Working in the heart of Manhattan, the designer and her close-knit team continue to keep the brand's roots, powerful and colourful prints, at the heart of each collection.
